Jacksonville, Florida Lean Benchmarking Tour 2013

“A good variety of companies provided a well rounded perspective of Lean within the North American Context.”

North American companies have been trying to emulate the Toyota Production System (TPS) for many years. Today, there are many North American companies of all sizes that have successfully executed best practices in the area of Lean.

From manufacturing to service based organizations, this series of private tours will reveal what American companies are doing to invoke a culture of Lean, and how it has affected their operations.

Jacksonville, Florida, is now considered to be the “Lean city” of North America, thanks to the growth of companies pursuing Lean and the level of investment they have made to make Lean effective.  This city also boasts one of the largest Lean consortia in the US, with dozens of companies working together to create a sustainable Lean environment.

It is truly a privilege to see mature Lean companies in Jacksonville, and Lean Sensei – a company that kick-started the Lean momentum there – showcase the best-of-best. You will experience Lean first hand at world-class Lean organizations such as Medtronic, Dr. Sami Bahri Dental Clinic, Jacksonville Sheriff's Office among other locations.

Lean Sensei has specifically hand-picked these organizations to showcase some of the most effective Lean practices in action.

The tours will highlight expertise in the following subject areas:
•            Lean Culture
•            Cycle/Process Time Reduction
•            Lean Tools and Methodologies (including 5S, Visual Management, One Piece Flow)
