Lean Sensei International hosts the 2016 Lean Summit

Mark your calendars!

In September, Lean Sensei International welcomes back Mike Hoseus, a recognized Lean Expert and co-author of the Shingo Award-winning book, Toyota Culture

Hoseus has had over a decade of experience, working at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing plant in Kentucky.  As the Executive Director of the Center for the Quality People and Organizations and the President of Lean Culture Enterprises, he continues to advise and support organizations on their Lean journey. His extensive experience at Toyota covers areas such as production, engineering, skilled trades maintenance, safety, personnel, HR development and employee relations.  This experience and mentoring by his Japanese sensei, have given Hoseus invaluable insight and understanding into the successful integration of production and ‘human systems’.

In addition to Hoseus, the Lean Summit features four other respected, local industry speakers who will share the trials and tribulations of “going Lean” in their organizations.

AME/CME Lean Conference Winnipeg 2015

We were honored and excited to deliver a workshop at the world-class LEAN conference in Canada organized by the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) and Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME). The event took place in Winnipeg, June 1st - 4th, and our President & Master Coach, David Chao delivered a successful workshop to 29 participants on the first day of the event. The workshop was called Introduction to Lean Strategy and Deployment, which outlined the principles and insights on how to deploy a successful implementation of a lean journey. David engaged the participants in group discussions and unique games that made the session more lively and engaging.

We are amazed by the fact that many of the speakers that presented at the conference were either former or current LSI clients or graduates!

This conference was a great way to connect with many of Lean Sensei's graduates and because of many familiar faces, we felt welcomed.

In fact, Winnipeg is where LSI first franchised our Greenbelt program outside Vancouver back in the mid 2000s with CME in Manitoba.

Lean Sensei's First Video Podcast!

Welcome to the first edition of the Lean Sensei Video Podast! That's right, soon you'll be able to get Lean tips of the trade right at your finger tips. Tentatively titled Random Podcasts as this is exactly what it is, this video series embodies the versatility of Lean: anywhere, anytime. If you have a continuous improvement mindset, you know that it is not always vital to call an official brainstorm meeting then officially implement the solution. Sometimes you're suddenly inspired and the solution only takes a second to implement.

That spontaneity is the atmosphere of these podcasts. Lean Sensei coaches sit down and elaborate on Lean topics that come to mind on the spot. We hope that you enjoy this candid approach and feel as though you are right there with the coaches having a chat about all things Lean.

If you have any burning questions about Lean email us at Jennifer@leansensei.com or in the comments section below. Your questions will be addressed in subsequent podcasts.

Currently, our Itunes profile is under development so we will start by posting the content on our blog similar to a beta test. Your feedback is welcome and can also be directed to Jennifer@leansensei.com

Enjoy the first podcast!
