Welcome Greenbelt Service Winter 2017 class! The first week is always the toughest as the teachers leave you overwhelmed by introducing all new lean knowledge, tools and techniques. However, by the end of the week the teams leave all smiles and with accomplished feelings because they know they are starting to get it! Looking forward to seeing you all back for module two!

Our first Service Greenbelt started January 23rd!! How exciting.

A three-module course that provides basic, intermediate and some advanced knowledge and experience in Lean....

Europe Benchmarking Tour

Dates: May 29th - June 2nd

While Lean Sensei is most known for its much-talked-about Japan Lean Tour program, did you know that we also conduct benchmarking trips to Germany, and Italy?  In fact, the Europe Lean Tour - which will tour Stuttgart and Munich in Germany, and Florence in Italy - is happening in May of this year.  The tour will visit some of the best lean factories in Europe, including BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Lamborghini and even the million-dollar-plus, hand-crafted Pagani factory.

It's considered to be one of the most exclusive tours that we do, because we will have an access to some of the top lean talents in the world.

The Europe Lean Tour is also a "standard module" for our Master Blackbelt Program, and therefore our newest Master Blackbelts will be travelling with us to Europe as well.

Florida Lean Tour

Dates:November 13th - February 15th

Not many people know that there is a Lean City right here on our continent. This unassuming city is none other than Jacksonville, Florida. Lean Sensei has specifically chosen to showcase six organizations for the Florida Benchmarking Tour. These companies demonstrate the possibilities when companies make the investment to pursue lean. Attendees of this tour have the opportunity to see first-hand how lean is applied in a wide array of industries.

Greenbelt Operations 2 Graduation Day!

It is graduation day for our Greenbelt Operations 2 class! The class did a phenomenal job tackling many situations that arose during their Kaizens and managed to turn things around in their favour to produce outstanding results. Great job to each and every one of you and we hope to see you again in the future.

Greenbelt Operations 1 Graduation Day!

Congratulations to the Greenbelt Operations 1 Fall Class! In this class, we had many participants who had to travel to Vancouver for their Modules. We warmly welcomed them to our office and the group made everlasting memories with each other.

Greenbelt Toronto Graduation

The Toronto Greenbelts have finally graduated! The participants worked hard through 3 modules and achieved their new Greenbelt certification. Although it was a small class, the teams managed to foster a tight-knit and fun family. Lean Sensei wishes you all the best in your future endeavors.

Vancouver Lean Benchmarking Tour 2016

We have just finished a very successful Vancouver Lean Benchmarking Tour 2016 this week.

The first stop of the tour was British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), one of BC's largest post-secondary institutions. Colin Jones, Master Blackbelt Candidate presented at the beginning of the tour and showed the group around the institution.

We ended the first day by visiting First West Credit Union. First West is the third-largest credit union in BC. Envision Financial, Valley First, Enderby & District Financial and Island Savings operate as divisions of First West.

The second day started at Ideon Packaging. Ideon Packaging is an established company based in Richmond, BC that provides a variety of packaging services.

Our last stop of the tour was Regency Fireplace Products where we witnessed that Lean was a big part of their culture during the detailed factory tour.

A huge thank you to all our gracious hosts for sharing their Lean knowledge and experience with the group. We learned so much and are looking forward bringing this information home to our respective organizations.
